Work-life balance debate – Reality or just a myth?

What inspired me to write this post?

Work Life Balance- This topic is very popular but very controversial.

First of all work life balance doesn’t mean not working enough and it should not be used as excuse for non- performance.

People usually misuse quotes of great personalities for their convenience or just for proving their wrong, right.

But they don’t see when and under what situation it was said.

Here I will like to refer some of the most misused quotations, interviews statements of Famous Personalities.

An excellent example of misuse of a quote of former president of India Dr. A.P. Abdul Kalam is here:

Some where at some place he said, “don’t love your company, but love your work, because you don’t know when your company stops loving you”.

He might have said this in most constructive manner, but perverted and corrupt minds use it in their own way, without looking into his own life style.

How hard he always worked and for whom? Did he work for himself only, and not for the company?

Another great statement of Steve Jobs which has been highly misconstrued, “one should focus on his family because at last only they are with you” ….. Nowadays it is extensively floating on Facebook as the misconstrued version of that famous statement is somewhere meeting the mindset of Non-Performers!

He said that one should focus on his family because at last, only they are with you ….. some thing in this line .

Now again, people don’t see at what situation he said. He was fighting with Cancer. He said this at his last stage of life. Yes, this is true statement as per his state of mind but, can’t you see what did  in his entire life?

Think !  Would you have ever focused on his any statement if he did not work hard and became so famous?

People dont see how many nights Bill Gates spent in computer lab .They only see how luxurious life he is living .People often talk that he is always sitting in television interviews but they don’t know how hard he works rest of the time.

Narayan Murthy the founder of Infosys said in some interview that we should maintain work life balance but when he was asked about himself he told how hard he worked .He told that he spent many nights working when Infosys was coming in shape.

This type of posts are floating in Face Book and Whats App.Some people use it as joke but others take seriously

Lions sleep 18 hrs a day but, a
donkey work 18hrs
a day.
If hardwork is secret to success,
then donkey would have been king
of jungle.
BE LAZY …. THINK CRAZY !!!!!

I agree that we should be joyful but be careful because there are lot of immature minds following you and they can learn wrong lessons.

Another type of conversation is always happening and in fact it becomes dual fight to show who is right .Our over smart fellows pass the statement that all big people like Bill Gates ,Steve Jobs were school drop outs and they quote it as if dropping out from school and colleges is they key for success .Here they totally ignore that these people worked even harder after dropping out from the college .they left college because they had bigger plan for which they were not getting time to complete if they would peruse the school and colleges. In fact these people were rewarded a degree for their approach.

In fact this is a personality disorder which encourages our doodle friends that they try to find their image inside these great people so that they can glorify themselves and their lazy attitude.

Day by smartness is changing  it definition to over smartness and attitude is becoming worst .people are feeling more entitlement than responsibility .I think it happening to entire world and its happening because real spirituality is going away and market oriented spirituality is taking over .

Happiness is being sold and spirituality is being marketed. So many god men appeared suddenly. Are they really god men ?
